My name is Jess, and my daughter Lahni got diagnosed with hip hip dysplasia when she was 1 week and 4 days old. We got into her paeds when she was 2 weeks old, she has been in the pravlik harness ever since. ( she is nearly 5 weeks old now)
I was really upset when I first found out that she had hip dysplasia but now have come to terms with everything. And her paeds is fantastic... we had our check up yesterday and he was very happy with her progress... he said her hips are in the socket and are stable! She also has another brace on, Im not sure what it is called but it goes over her nappy?
She has another appointment in 2 weeks, and then we'll have our ultrasound to see how everything is going. Its so good to find a group to talk about this sort of stuff with
