Can totally relate, especially regarding boys names. Every name I loved, DH flat out refused to consider. For DS, I wrote a list & DH picked a name from it. It just happened to be my number two name so I love it. But the boys name we picked for DD if she was a boy, I didn't love at all. I liked it but didn't love it. The only reason I agreed to it was because I knew she was a girl. DH didn't know I'd found out so we had to pick a boys name.
We had DS1 's name from day 1 and loved it. We didnt have any girl names, but knew we were having a boy so it didnt matter. With DS2, DH couldnt decide, but i had a name i loved and started calling him that from the 12 week scan, to the point where DH said at 38 weeks "well we cant change it now!!".
I think you need to give names at least 3 months test, and if you still love them after that, they are a keeper!!
