Yes I agree, they are not in the same category as some others in this thread. I haven't heard of the character in home and away so doesn't bring up any negative connatations - unlike Dunger (maybe was named after the famous Brazilian footballer although should have been spelt Dunga). Even some normal lovely names can be associated with people or characters that are undesirable.
I don't think its a bad name as such, more that people think you're naming it after some dufus on a tv show whether you actually are or not.
