No, I dont reckon sibling names should match, i think its quite absurd that parents try and match the names, the kids are individual people so they should have individual names.

I think the more often you say names together, the more "right" they sound and the more they match. Because I don't think any name automatically "goes" with any other name.

A lot of people thought DS's name should be decending syllables (IE 3-2-1 and not 3-1-2) but now think his name is perfect. Of course it is, I chose it! But I did get a bit of flack about the order of his middle names when he was a baby.

We have Olivia, Charles and Alexandra.

All get shortened to Livvy, Charlie and Lexie.

I'll be honest, I have no idea if they "match" at all, but though common usage the names all "go togeher" OK?

I am one of 5 kids: William, Charlie, Claire, Lucy & Tom. Now I really have no idea if these "match" or not, but because it was what I grew up with, in my head they all "go together" IYKWIM?

So I reckon whatever you chose, sibings names WILL go together through use?

I like longer names that can be shortened. And hopefully have 2-3 nicknames that can be made out of it. My daughter has a few nicknames. I don't think they have to match siblings, but if you'd like it to, then go for it! If there are short names you like, see if they can be lengthened. Like Jack can be lengthened to Jackson. I have a mindblank on more names LOL.
