I have always liked Shae, I think it goes best with your other DD's name also.
I also really like the name Cadence, I think Cadence Shay is nice.
Although I agree with smiles, I like the spelling Shae better.

Thanks ladies, i love Shay (its spelt that way cos DP gets confused with spelling and writes it that way anyway) but DP isn't sold on it cos "it sounds like its short for something" and also cos we can't decide on a middle name for it...

Kaitlyn is the one that he really likes but i'm not sure i like it with his surname "Kaitlyn McMillan" ??? i dunno...

Any suggestions for middle names? TIA

Maybe you could use one of your Nan's names for her middle name?

I like the sound of Kaitlyn Yvonne McMillan.

I'm another who was going to suggest Evie to represent Yvonne as a middle name. You could also try something like Brenna for Brenda?

Shayanne? Shaylyn? Shayleen? Shayenne? That way you can ease your DP into calling her Shay because it really will be short for something! My cousin's daughter is named Siobhan, pronounced kinda like Sha-VON...

Have convinced DP on Shay But will no longer be naming bub after anyone due to petty family dramas

What do you ladies think of..........................

    Shay Bethany McMillan

We both really like Bethany but cannot use it as a first name for family reasons, but not sure if it flows nicely... Any opinions would be great Thanks again ladies

That's exactly what I was going to say!

Or I think Kaitlyn Yvonne sounds lovely!

I like Shay/Shae too. (Prefer Shae). I don't think it sounds like it's short for something. There are a lot of names that are short for something but are also names in there own right, like Kate, Betty, Beth, Cathy, Cassie, etc. You have a bit of time to get your DH to come around

    Thanks everyone.

With the Evie/Eve thing i'd rather just use her name she's easily offended and will think of me altering her name as a negative thing i love her but she's a crazy one

Nothing's really jumping out at me yet though
