And here’s the eclectic boy’s names list – comments and suggestions welcome.

OK so here is the boy’s names list thread.

    Just to recap:

    Rules:
    - Must go with Angus and Harriet.
    - Must not be too popular.
    - Preferably not start with R, A or H (although this rule is a bit flexible because I like too many A names).

Here is the (sort of) finalised (nothing's final till the form’s filled in) girl’s names list:
    Elise
    Adelaide
    April
    Eleanor
    Miranda
    Lucinda
    Eloise
    Sydney
    Dorothy

And here is the boy’s – comments and suggestions most welcome! As you can see, I've got a few "issues" with this list.
Basil – OK so this is the front runner. It’s got its own thread: here and my darling sweet grandfather died a few weeks ago so it’s bittersweet for me.
Stanley – I don’t know why I love this but I do. I think it’s because of the way Emily Brown says “and his name is NOT Bunny-wunny, it’s STANLEY!” (from “That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown”).
    Alfred
    George
Marcus – doesn’t go with Angus, I suppose I could just drop the “us”.
Douglass – doesn’t go with Angus, I like full names so I couldn’t officially shorten it to Doug.
Fergus – again, doesn’t go with Angus.
    Leo
Barry – doesn’t go with Harriet, we often call her Harri and also call her “big bad Barry”.
    Edward
Rohan – I LOVE this name but we absolutely cannot use it because DH’s sister has a DS Rowan.

Ooh like Basil! We had an elderly neighbour when i was younger his name was Basil, he used to let us "help" him in the garden and fill his bird feeder/bird bath Works well with the sibling names too i think.

The others on your list i like are Leo and George

Yep, Basil is my fave too - because of the personal meaning to you, and because it is so darn cute! Baz is nice too, as a nn. Leo is my second fave. I also like George and Edward.

I agree with your comments about Marcus/Douglass/Fergus.

What about Ronan instead of Rohan? Or the similar sounding Oran or Odan/Oden? Or Rohan could be pronounced 'Ro-harne' (as in Lord of the Rings).

(or there is always Franklin, lol!).....
