How would you spell _______ for a girl?

Just wanting some opinions on the spelling of our favourite name for our little girl

Ashlyn
Ashlin
Ashalin
Ashelyn

How would you spell it? My instinct is to go with first way of spelling it but this is the different ways people have spelt it to me when I have told them the name.

Also what middle names do you like to go with it?

Yeah I'd go with the first spelling.. but I'm a fan of "y" in a name.. (obviously..lol)

I would go with Ashlyn too. I also like the suggestion of Ashlen.

If you used Ashalin (or similar) you might find people place emphasis on the "ah" in the middle. Ashlyn flows much nicer.

Thanks Holley. DP loves it as well. We only know one person called Ashlyn and she is an ex gf of one of our friends. WE think its a nice twist on Ashley even though we love that name too.

Thanks everyone else for your suggestions. I think we will end up spelling it Ashlyn so there is no mistaking the pronunciation.

Now to find a middle name to go with it....

From your list I'd go Ashlyn, but I'm a traditionalist so if the next baby we have is a girl, her name will be Aislinn Rose (Irish spelling, but pronounced the same)
