we haven't found out what we're having and have chosen a boys and a girls name, however the girls name we've chosen is the same name as DH's cousins 3 year old son.
we've only been living here for a cpl of years and don't have very much to do with them and will probably rarely again see them after we move away in a few years, however is it wrong of me to choose this name cause it's already in his family.
i thought if someone used the names i want i'd probably be pretty angry, however on my side i really love this name and have for years.
i'm a bit worrried about their family getting angry at me and dh for choosing the same name even though it's on another gender...what do you think...
I don't see an issue - one of my friends named her daughter Sophie, knowing that she already has a cousin Sofia and another cousin Sophie-Beth. So the Grandma has 3 granddaughters with Sophie as part if their name and they don't have a problem with it.
Go for it! The cousins' chidl is 3. Not like they are born a week apart. My DH has 52 first cousins are there are 2 with the same name as DS.

I say if you like go for it!!! Being your DH's cousin's son makes it a pretty distant relative, not like its DH's brother's name iykwim. And if you dont see them much anyway its not like there will be alot of confusion either!
I dont see a problem with it but I can see where you are coming from.
Its would hit the fan in my family if we did it with the same generation, but then DS sees lots my cousins' kids on a weekly basis.
I dont see the issue but apparently they do. Which, had I already chosen the name would only add to my resolve to use it
