Deegan
Alexander
William
Giles
Patrick
Jethro
Hmm... I like unusual names, how about:
Ailean (pronounced E-lun) means "rock" or "nobel" - Gaelic
Nevin means "saint" - Gaelic
Finlay means "white warrior" - Gaelic
Lorne - scottish place name
Torquil (pronounced Tor-call) means Thor's helmet
Oran.
I love Gaelic names too, here's some for you:
Caelan (original spelling is Cailean) means 'child', Liam means 'helmeted'?? (my boys names)
Owen
Callum
Quin
Orin
Roane
Tadhg pronounced Tige
Some different suggestions there, thanks
Owen - Kinda too close to Evan??
Rhys - This one always comes up on our list but it feels like a naughty boys name (Malcolm in the Middle I think LOL)
Kynan - Ki - nan?
Vaughan - I like this one but dh doesn't.
Niven - How do you say it?
Giles - hmmmm does it suit the others? Is it too old a name on a baby/child?
Ailean (pronounced E-lun) means "rock" or "nobel" - Gaelic - E-lun or E-loon?
Nevin means "saint" - Gaelic
Lorne - scottish place name - mmmm another maybe, will suggest to DH
Torquil (pronounced Tor-call) means Thor's helmet - Not sure I like the sound of it in my head but DH would love the meaning.
Oran - Makes me think of Orson of Desperate housewives.. But I like I like Orson anyway, will have to look up the meaning etc
Tadhg - Tige...? Like Tiggy?
Those are all the ones I will have a second thought on the others I didn't comment on I don't like, but thanks.
A neighbour's boy is called Tyne (after the river). Bit different but not weird.
We had Patrick Mackenzie picked out for a boy. Mainly because Mackenzie means "son of the handsome one" (see my sig)
Pronounced Neh-Ven, sounds like Kevan.
I've only ever heard of it as E-lunAilean (pronounced E-lun) means "rock" or "nobel" - Gaelic
I know this one is a bit out there, makes me think of the Black vulcan from Star Trek, heheTorquil (pronounced Tor-call) means Thor's helmet - Not sure I like the sound of it in my head but DH would love the meaning.
Another one I thought of was Shae, pronounced Shay, means "Hawklike - graceful, free, courageous", is also Gaelic
my DS is an Ashton. don't think it's too celtic tho but it's not overly common... yet lol gl
Duncan
Connor
Angus
Liam
Donal
Craig
Alistair
Andrew
Brennan
Finlay
Gilbert
Griff/Griffen
I suppose Macbeth would be a bit out there![]()
Stuart/Stewart
Brody, Finnegan, Lachlan....
We are pretty much down to Brody but looking for a celtic middle name.
Boys names suck! LOL especially when I already have 3. Middle name will probably be Jeremy but not 100% yet.
Rhys kinda made it way on the strong possibility list last night. Both DH & I like it. But today I seen a "name tag" with Rhys on it.... I know its silly but you can't get (that I have ever found) any of my kids names on those premade name things & we like that. So Rhys might be too popular for us.
But I really don't think I am a Mum to a Ronan. . . . .
Tinks... OMG @ you suggesting Tadhg! I have a friend who's little boy has that name lol. Fiona, it's pronounced Tige like Tiger but with no r.
I love Keenan...it is my DS2 middle name...I wanted it as his first name but my ex won.
I also really like Cael
