George is an awesome name. i absolutely love it.

we get some funny reactions to our son's name- Jimmy. mostly 'he is an absolute crack up', 'he's such a Jimmy' that sort of thing.

    That's such a cute story!

We've gotten positive comments to our babies names, and yes we are Greek so we gave them Greek names. Everyone says Zoe's name really suits her, she's so bubbly and full of life!

I can't imagine Alex having a different name either, though he was almost Mihalis, and we ended up using that as his middle name.

LOL at the response to George!

    Mine seem to be polarisers.

DS - Wow, I love that. or. Oh, that's different.
DD - Oh, that's so pretty. or. Oh...

For DD1 i always get oh like Ava Gardner ... umm yeah exactly like some old startlet i've NEVER heard of
And now we Have A & Z and DP and i are L & M i get did you deliberately pick the start, middle & end... NO we did not but thanks for being the 100th person to point it out

The nicest comments are that they are beautiful names and that they suit them... lucky we chose fairly 'common' names without meaning too i guess.

Love that you get äre you "Greek"

Love your story Epacris George is such a lovely, strong name!

For us, people always have positive comments for DD and DS1's names (L ily K ate and L iam J effery) but when I get asked DS2's name (C aelan J ames), I often get 'Caleb?' or 'That's unusual' and it usually gets compared to my first two 'normal' names and I have been asked if we made it up (no we didn't) and why on earth I would choose such a 'different' name for #3. Well....because we liked it!

My DD's name is Kailey and i always get "oh thats a pretty name" or "you don't hear that name too often". I did have to laugh when a guy i work with thought her name was Railey. I just laughed and corrected him he said it was an unusual name.
