My brother named his son after my grandfather who was hated by many in the family for awful reasons that my brother didn't know at the time. He had a fight with my mum pre birth and hung up on her over it. But babies just "are" their name once they're born. So now the whole family associates that name with a new little man. It's almost been healing. Go for it.
