My sister in law and her 10 month old stayed with us for a week. My SIL was constanly playing with her all day, meaning she only would get up to wash her bottles or eat.

She would sing to her, talk to her non stop, always give her full attention. The SIL said she would rather give her daughter all her attention than take time out and put make up on or do her hair.

Is she suffocating her daughter? The SIL was constanly loud with her too. I felt like it was playschool all day.

I have a 8 week old and even though would love to give him attention but what abt the housework and cooking? Im sure my SIL does not do these things, cos she's too busy playing with her child all day.
