Now I have two I can answer this one!!! Marisa was a little over 2.5 years when Elijah was born. She's always been very clingy and close to me so I knew it would be tough. I just had no idea how tough! For the first 6 weeks, she was very, very naughty and I found it quite hard to deal with. The midwife in hospital actually warned me that I should expect this sort of behaviour due to adjustment, for example toddler mimicking newborn behaviour (crying for attention, expecting us to anticipate needs like baby, talking like a baby etc). Of course, all children are different and react differently.

She's much better now, she's always loved him to bits but I think the attention adjustment has been hard for her to comprehend at that age. They tell me it's much better when they are 3! But I am very happy with the way it's all turned out.
