There is some saline drops called Fess you can get at the chemist that come with an aspirator. Basically you drop some of the solution into their noses & suck it out. It sounds awful but has gotten us through many a head colds in our house.

The other thing we do is alternate showers morning & night, so when DH has a shower in the morning I stand outside & chat holding the baby so the steam can help loosen everything up to run out.

If you are breastfeeding you can also squirt some of your milk up the nose to help get the blockage cleared. Sounds yuck but very effective.

Matilda had a head cold at 2 weeks and I found it so hard to figure out how to help her to feed etc. With Jovie this week I have been flushing her out with Fess, sucking it out, feeding her and squirting some milk up her nose as well.
