woohoo!!! way to go charlie, cant wait to see what they look like on you
smithy when i got chloe's done (8yrs ago lol) they always told me just to give them a little turn and wash while i was bathing her, they told me not to worry about using sprays or wipes or anything.
but if you wanted to use something, when i got my belly button done they told me to use warm salty water to clean it.
No no!! Just salty water, I promise Alcohol wipes/sprays (like the ones you're looking for) and antibacterial soaps tend to be too drying and can interfere with proper healing as well as causing irritation, redness and soreness. Just make up a solution of warm salty water (table salt has always worked fine for me, ftr!) - 1tbsp salt to 1 cup warm water (tap water's fine, but if you can use cooled boiled water and warm it up a bit), swab the piercing with cotton buds/balls twice a day and it should be healed in no time
I had DD1's ears pierced at 18 months and they were healed within two weeks using just salt water soaks, we had no issues whatsoever with infection despite her always having grubby hands
Good luck with it, I bet she looks gorgeous!!
aww you girls thanks so much for getting back to me .i will just use the warm salty water then ,sound good to me there not red or anything like that so im very happy, again girls thanks heaps for your help i really appriciate it
I am going to have Jayde's done too in a few weeks FINALLY found a GOOD chemist that does it on little ones - Cant wait to see what they look like on lil Charlie
Where'd you get them done Smithy? I'm getting them done for Jaz's 8th birthday today. She had them done at 2 at Wendy's coiffure, but we had problems with them when she had ear infections.
Guardian? Let me know if you get back online before this arvy
Oh & I second the salty water. We've always used the spray, but salty water will be enough.
skye.just sent you a pm hun ,they were so good were i went to they even used 2 guns so it ws quick and easy and oh boy they were very clean too so im very happy, good luk to you .
Smithy - did you get that numbing stuff from the chemist to get them done? My kids haven't had theirs done yet but a friend of mine had her little girl done and the girl that did them told her to go to the chemist and get this stuff to rub on her eyes to make them numb before hand but I have no idea what it was called ... I was just wondering if anyone else knows
I think it might be the same stuff they put on DD1's arm when the doctor thought she might need a blood test ...
