Wet beds!

Please please help! My washing machine is getting such a work out because i'm washing 2-3 sets (one underlay, one fitted sheet, one normal, one quilt cover, and now add the blanket) of sheets a day!

Our 5 year old has gone back to wetting the bed. and our 3 year old is sort off to... Now i don't mind wet beds accidents happen. But anyways to help prevent it would be very very welcome!!!

Now our 3 yr old has only just came into our care, and his mother still had him in nappies up untill the grandmother helped toilet train him a month ago. But he's still wearing nappies to bed. But he's still wetting the bed, because in the mornin he is taking his willy out and wetting the bed (his clothes remain dry) just so he can be like his brother. How do we stop this.

I'm completely lost. Izzabella is my first child and she's only 11months - i've been chucked in the deep end with my boys and i'm slowly sinking please help!

DD was a bed wetter till the last year, we have gone through the mat and bell system through our Child Health Nurse - maybe you could ask Izzabella's?

What I did do was have a mattress protector that is plastic, a flannelette bottom sheet , and a cotton blanket that was easier to wash.

We also had a reward chart with a "prize" for every seven dry nights.

Cass, when you say taking his willy out and wetting the bed... do you mean what I think you mean??? As in a deliberate act?? If that is the case it sounds like there could be some wanting attention which would sound very normal if he's just come into your care. He may... or both may need some expert counselling with a child counsellor to help them with the upheaval lately - coming to live with you guys from what wasn't too stable for them so they're adjusting. Just a thought that may help.

I feel your pain, you just gotta keep washing I suppose and like me, hope it stops by winter!

My 3 yr old still wets (he gets through the night ok but tends to wet 5 mins before he wakes in the morning, not sure what to do about that), and considering your Mr 3 has just started a month ago he is doing well!

With both I would most certainly expect they would "go backwards" just a little. I wonder if there is some parenting service that could help you with the smooth transition of a big, big move?

You must be soooo pleased to have the boys with you, I'd be inclined to almost over-parent (lotsa extra love and smiles) them for a little while, they may have a bit of mummylovin to catch up on, and may be unsure of having a new mumma in their own little way.
