I was reading your OP and doing the mental tick thing. DS is 11 months. Will roll but only side to side, not onto his tummy, when we sit him up he flings himself back, won't put weight through his legs, flaps his hands alot and loves to study his and anyone elses hands. He's been sick (colds etc) for about two months which we think has impacted on his development but we're uncomfortable attributing everything to that.
I've found it really hard to bring this up with people due to the judgement factor, so thankyou for posting and allowing me to share.
We have a paed appointment later this month. I hope you don't have long to wait and worry.
CeCe, you are welcome hun I've just been feeling so stressed about it all I thought I'd post here as all the wonderful ladies are so supportive which means the world to me. I was speaking to one of my BF who I have been confiding in and she tells me over and over how similar her two kids were (especially with the arm/hand flapping) so that made me feel good. She also said she went to see her second cousin who is DS's age and she said he was all arms flapping away. Then my DF took my DS to the park today and said there was a 2 yo boy running around flapping away and DF asked the dad if he did that a lot and he said only when he's really excited. It still doesn't rule out a problem if there is one, but it made me feel better hun.
I hope your little one is all good when he sees his paed. Keep me posted hun
