How about some little jigsaw puzzle type games? or even little easy card games like snap or go fish???
I have to take the boys on a long haul flight soon and I'm trying to put togeter a couple of little craft packs for them to keep the busy (this is in addition to books, toys & snacks).
I'm not feeling very inspired - so far all I've come up with is drawing pad, pencils and stickers. What else could I put in there? Remembering that it has to fit on the seat tray.
I thought about beads and string but then I had visions of trying to pick them up and thought better of it.....
Please help me!

My first thought was pipecleaners - although not sure how you'd go getting those onboard (if there's a problem with the wire in the middle you might have to bail them in an airport bin)! Or the small packets that have about 8 little strips of plasticene (saw them at Big W last week) - you'd want to take that on sealed in the original packaging. Novelty textas/pens are good for a bit of extra drawing value - like textas that change colour or crayons/pencils that have 4 or more colours in the one lead. The other thing I thought of is those Crayola sheets that are black but turn colours when you draw on them with the special texta.

Maybe take a glue stick and some coloured paper?
Fisher price do a mini mangadoodle for travelling - we picked one up in Woolies for $9.95
we used to play this when we were on long trips as kids - mum would do up a list of things we might see on the trip and then we would have to mark them off as we saw them i.e a man with a bald head & a beard or a tartan suitcase
