I always gave DD chamomile, hope that helps!
I've recently started drinking the herbals and my DS keeps asking for a cuppa as well...are they safe for toddlers?
Is there any particular herbs toddlers shouldn't have?
TIA

morgan I think it depends on the tea and what its used for. I mean for my 4 yr old (well 4 in two weeks) I gave some diluted chamomile and peppermint tea today because she's got tummy pains and not eating much. I checked with my alternative medicine book first and check dilution for children 4-8 and it was a weak half dilution.
I know when she was a baby with reflux I was told to make a weak chamomile tea and do half and half with cooled boiled water for her. It worked wonders for getting her wind out.
But some herbs aren't meant for children, so if you are using a blended tea packet, than I would check ingredients first. JMO.
I've always looked it up on a case by case basis... sorry! So when Matilda had an upset tum I looked at what teas I had in the cupboard, and then checked my book.
I know that diluted herbs are generally good. Most have healing properties, its just ones like rasberry leaf and bergamot etc that I would check properly before giving. I sometimes google " xxxx tea for children" and often use the Wiki or another reputable source for help. Dr Sears sight has info on teas for children as well.
Christy Thank you for that...muchly appreciated
