I dont know anyone who has been through IVF ( although I almost had to !) But it makes sense to me that there would be more boys as the little boy sperms are the quicker swimmers...so if you pop a lot of fresh girlie sperms and boy sperms next to an egg the boys win most the time. And I have heard the best way to get a girl is to Bed a few days before ovulation as the girls live longer then the boys so they have more chance!
Humphrey: LOL! I am dreading the thought of those sleepless nights once again he he he!! I think i will stop at 2 also, thats if I am lucky enough to have another. Cos if i had three, one may feel left out, so i would have to have yet another LOL!!!! Just kidding!!
Ally - I was so sure I was having another boy. I had always wanted 2 girls but when I had DS I thought boys weren't so bad after all. At my scan the sonographer zoomed down there and I was searching frantically for any frank an' beans. She said 'that's definately a vagina" and I almost cried. Another boy would have been wonderful - but secretly I was so relieved as it meant we stop at 2 and not have to do IVF again.
Good luck with your future plans for IVF - it's much less stressful ttc # 2 - less pressure. Still sux tho' Lol.
Missy,
Sorry DD was hospitalised thankfully we are home now.
We have done IVF for about 3 years, I was lucky with a fert specialist that backed my cycles back to back. So really After 3 cycles got pregnant lost that preg at 17 weeks had 3 months off then did 10 cycles got pregnant lost that at 20 weeks then had another 2 months off and after 6 fell with DD. My complications were nothing to do with IVF just " if the world was going to end I wouldnt be allowed on the re populationing ship". DH has low motility so they said they pick the better looking spermies in DH case they must be girls.
Bec - I presume you mean DH's sperms have low motility, not him
And I've have you on my ship You'd be a sensational birthing support partner. And imagine how much fun we could have drinking
Humphrey Thats so nice. We were told we were having a girl, but out came a boy!!LOL. I really love having a boy though, and I never felt a real desire to have a girl as i have two beautiful nieces whom i am very close with. So they fill the "Pink" in my life IYKWIM. Bec Sounds like you had a hard TTC journey, I am glad you got your precious bub eventually. (BTW I Hope your daughter is ok now, poor little one)
