Just wondering when I might expect to see get solid (TMI)???

This has poop talk... So Sorry for the TMI...

    DS is 13 months.

He is still drinking 3 bottles of formula a day (210ml each) and some days slips in a fourth... He was breastfed till 6 months, then we switched to Formula and slowly introduced solids. I did pured and mashed food as he was too impatient to try BLS, but he is getting better with finger foods now and his foods are getting quite chunky, but still mashed... Oh and he had reflux when he was little, but has grown out if that now...

He is on 3 good solid meals, and snacks. He eats all home cooked food except for pured fruit which I can be bothered doing for him. He eats weetbix, meat, chicken, fish, veges, pasta, fruit, yogurt, bread, rice biscuits, and jelly.... (not all that each day but you get the drift ).

But, he is still doing the most nasty wet poops. And doing a few a day some days, and others none. There is no real pattern to his movements...

Occasionally I see a slightly firmer one, but they are few and far between. Oh and he is fine with wet nappies. (I think)

What I want to know is do you think his toileting habits are odd? Should I expect to be seeing really poops (cause I would have expected it by now)? Or this this a concern that I should bring up with a Dr? We have an appt next week for 1 yr injections...

Another thing I am not sure on is his weight as we have not had hop properly measured since the 6 month needles... But he is between 10 - 11kgs, and was always in the 50th percentile... So I dont know if that helps???

Not that I have much experience, but Jazz has more solid (as in, I can easily roll them off the nappies and into the toilet kind of solid) poos now she is eating more 'normal' (ie only a few mashed foods a week) food.

So based on that, I'd say maybe ask your GP? Cos Jazzy's seemed to go solid as we moved from puree to normal textured foods. She's still bfing too.

But, I haven't done this before LOL so I don't really know, so don't get worried based on Jazzys poo habits! lol

Jack was the same up till about 3 months ago, so 30mths I put him on a multi viatmin at the same time so not sure if thats why his have no firmed up or not

my dr told me some kids just have soft poops, it actually supposed to mean they are drinking heaps of water and getting the right nutrition according to GP....

Interesting... and thanks girls. I read something the other day about undigested food going straight through due to fast eating habits, and DS is a SCOFFER, and maybe that might have something to do with it... But that article was for adults, but I assumed at applied, but I cant for the life of me remember where I read it...

Dunno.... I wish I could not be concerned, but with pregnant sense of smell, I was looking for an end date for this poop, so I could just quickly flush it, instead of having to scrape it up and smell it... (SORRY )

ETA - Thanks Mel... NOT what I was looking for, but helpful to know we are not alone...

I'm not sure, but DS2 is nearly 20 months old and doesn't often do firm poos still (you gotta love talking poo when you become a mum ). He did a couple this week and that's pretty unsual for him. DS1 was exactly the same, I thought he should have had more firm poos than he did, but he was fine.
