my bubby has a flat head

Is there anything else I can do to help it round out at the back, he always has tummy time, when I put him in his cot I now use those wedges to roll him on his side but he manages to roll back usually. I know over time it will round out due to him moving more in his sleep, but I'm stuck what to do now. Is there any anything else I can do? Thanks

Hi Renee, I don't think there is much more you can be doing than you already are. Other than maybe getting one of those helments fitted, but I think they are for only really severe cases, which I don't know if your DS is or not. My DD had a flat head when she was littler, but now at 17months it is barely noticable anymore. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Hey Renee - Dani (Oshani) little Oscar had this problem too as he favoured one side alot and she took him to the chiro and that has helped - there is a thread around somewhere that I will try to find for you. One of the girls at mothers group used an osteopath for her daughter.
Sometimes because of the way they lie in the womb - thier little necks get a bit tight on one side so a bit of gentle treatment can help loosen it up and make it more comfortable for them to sleep on the other side.

    Hi,

I used the anti roll pillow from safe and sound and started putting him on is left side to sleep. He did end up rolling onto his back during the night but after a few weeks it all even'd out. My firned is a nurse who deals witht his and she said rotation is the only thing to do. And she said once the plates start moving together it will get less flat anyway.
