Could be interesting trying to get Elijah to chew one lol. I think he'd need powder disguised in something! Oskar is easy for nail clipping but Elijah has a huge aversion to it at the moment, which is driving me nuts cos they're long and he hurts me!!! Might have a chat to the chemist re: what I can do and/or offer Elijah. Thanks![]()
I've wormed both my kids as we have a lot of animals they interact with, they play in the dirt a lot and go to school. From my understanding basically intestinal worms shed their eggs in poo and they will also gather around the anus, so scrathy = exposure to eggs if that hand goes anywhere near the mouth, or anyone elses mouth.
I wouldn't say I do it regularly but probably at least 1-2 times a year if I notice itchy bottoms, loss of weight (easy on my son who eats barely anything), sore tummy etc. We use the chocolate squares from the chemist for the whole family, it's such a treat sharing dessert together lol. wash all bed linen and clothing and hang in the sun
my 4yo weighs what most 2 yo weigh (14 kg) - she eats hardly anything - maybe she's got worms? but she's not itching her bottom.
for a moment, i thought this might have solved the "why won't she eat" endless conundrum.
back to the usual
Miss 3 gets thrush occasionally from not wiping well enough after she wees and sometimes gets thrush, but it really hurts her, she cries when she goes to the toilet as opposed to scratching. A bit of antifungal nappy cream clears it up overnight. Try telling a toddler "this cream will make you stop hurting" ... nope, cream's been on for 30 seconds, it still hurts, cream doesn't work![]()
