My DS was bout 13 months when he decided he was a big boy and didn't need his second day sleep. He now sleeps for 1.5-2 hrs from about midday. He goes to bed at 7.30ish at night and sleeps through (usually) till about 7-7.30.
It's been a tough road to get here but he's finally worked out how to sleep and he's such a happy little bear now!
thanks guys, she went down today at 10.45am after a huge fight and slept for 1.5 hrs, she usually goes down at 7 ans up around 6.30am so will try putting down at midday tomorrow and see how we go
Jols I find it takes them a while to get to later in the day for their sleep, so Jovie will go down around 11-11.30 for her sleep. She generally sleeps 1.5-2 hours. Matilda was 13 months when she started going to 1 sleep a day. It took a few weeks for her to get there though, so some days she would have 2 and somedays 1.
I find with Jovie that if she sleeps in the morning, she won't sleep in the afternoon at all, so I try to drag her out as long as possible.
Moving this to Baby & Toddler General Discussion.
