I definitely think children can have too many toys. I think it gets to a point where they have so many things surrounding them 1. They can’t ever find that one toy they want right now 2. They send so much time having to clean them up 3. They miss out on time with no toys and just using their imagination.

Just before Christmas I go through their toys and throw out anything really old, broken, that never gets played with, etc. It’s a good time of year to do it in our house because their birthdays are in January and March so it gets it all cleared out for the new stuff.

I also keep a toy box outside and find this helps keep them interested in all their toys. So they have some for inside only and then outside only.
