My DS was doing the same thing, waking at least 2 times a night and drinking about 240 ml each time. I wasnt sure about whether he needed it either. He was already having the normal 4 bottles a day. When he was 8 months he was down to waking once in the night for a bottle sometimes twice. My sisters children are very well behaved and slept all night from 3 months so I asked her for some advice. She said I had to be very strict becuase he doesnt need those night feeds. Her advice worked and all I basicly do is make sure he has a good day time routine that I stick to and when he wakes at night leave him to cry, if he gets worse offer him water (which she said, he probably wont want anyway in which case "too bad mate, nigh nighs!" but if he does then he was obviously thirsty). It took about 4 days to get him to sleep from 6pm until 6am and I now have so much more energy, also he sleeps better during the day. This routine has worked for 4 mums she has told and 2 that I have told so far. If anyone wants the detailed version let me know! I hope you have some luck.
