Breast milk has low levels of iron but it's very easily absorbed so it's actually high in iron.

Were your DDs iron levels normal or high?
Normal, 135. Both the paed and I were very surprised.
She does eat some dried fruit and she has a vitamin tab once a day but I thought that was just a puny amount of iron. She eats wholemeal bread. I guess they must be it then.

Thanks all. I am pretty clueless when it comes to nutrition. I should probably do some research one day.
