HI everyone
I've been struggling to wipe Daniel's nose. Whenever I even look like coming at him with a tissue he shakes his head like a crazy man. He sort of becomes a "snot sprinkler".
I've discovered the solution and thought I would like to share it, just in case anyone is experiencing the same thing with their 15 month and on babies. (Not guaranteed for anyone else's babies, but it's something).
I pretend to blow my nose in to the tissue first, by making a funny fart noise. Daniel has this massive grin on his face - I then say, "Do you want a go?" Of course he does!! I haven't had an issue since I started doing this.
I have now gradually turned it in to, "Can mummy please blow your nose?" and he now waits. I then screech so excitedly, "Thank you, Daniel!!" Of course he grins and is even willing to oblige again, just to get another thank you. He even says, "Ta, ta, ta!" While nodding his head agreeably. We then have a hug and a kiss.
For the first time ever, I think I've figured out "some" baby psychology. Of course, this may turn on its head next week - but I hope not.
LP
