We don't pay most bank fees because DH is staff. However if he was not staff we would go with the bank that had the best all round services. We value a good online banking system and a good ATM presence. From staff perspective some banks are more efficient than others... DH is having issues with his current bank due to frustrating inefficencies. Sometimes it pays to pay a little bit more for good service. At the moment many of his clients are experiencing delays due to poor procedures (such as approving credit limits prior to going over seas) and it's those kind of issues that can really hurt... just not worth the few dollars per month savings IYKWIM.

Most banks offer unlimited transactions if you have a home loan with them. Same with credit card account keeping fees... zero if you have a home loan with the bank.

We were with Adelaide Bank (Now Bendigo Bank) and we were paying in excess of $40 a month for excess transactions. We saw an ad for ANZ that has $5 a month for unlimited transactions so we made the move there and haven't looked back. Just wish we had done it sooner.

ANZ does have some excellent products Kat. DH looks forward to working with them again! Better late than never!
