He actually has an N95-3G which is supposed to be the best for NextG coverage with Telstra followed by the TU500.
Seems crap that the coverage map says they have coverage here when it is clear that they don't. Also seems crap that they then rely on roaming when we can't even manually select that. Optus has better coverage out here than Telstra!
I am so mad, he said he'd be happy to pay something out but not the full $900. So if they refuse to offer some kind of compromise like they have done I will go to the TIO anyway, because even if it's just a complaint they get fined almost half that. sneaky sneaky.
Oh, and seeing as their map says that this area is coveredd by 3, and it is something we considered when we moved - surely their failure to provide the service gives us something. They told us on the phone and it's on their website.
