My OB has me thinking this may happen to me... he said all is looking so good and the main thing i need to 'worry' about (though he said not really a worry) is that the baby may be born in the car!!! my 1st was 3.5hr labour...
in any case my ob will do an examination when i go for my 38/9 week appt - as i was 3cm dilated at this pt last time.. so we have some warning... and he said get into hospital pronto when i feel anything. he said no dawdling from me... or him!
anyway DH is going to read up what he would have to do... just in case. it isnt really what i want, though would be a good story to tell!

PP - you should just take having babies up as an occupation. You couldnt' even watch a movie in that time.

I am so glad there are more of us around than I thought. I always tell people and they think I'm full of BS. Not all labours are long and drawn out. Quite a few are very fast and we only just make it.

I wouldn't be able to not push at 10cm. I found I wasn't left with a choice. The pushing is completely involuntary.

Preagainpan - you are going to have to get a wriggle on too!!
