Usual where I work is 3-5days after a C/S. It depends on how well bub is feeding, how well the mum is mobilising and getting around and what kind of pain relief she is needing. Also alot of people go because they request to go home sooner rather then later. Despite pain and not feeding well alot of women find it easier at home with family support then been sleep deprived from others babies and visitors. 2.5 days isn't exceptable if she was kicked out so to speak but I think its acceptable if she was wanting to go and had good family support at home.
