Sorry love. A managed third stage is where once bubs head is out they give you an injection in the side or in your iv of synto to help the uterus contract a bit harder thus expelling the placenta quickly. Theory goes that it helps to cauterize off any bleeds caused by the placenta coming away.
A physiological third stage is when you allow the placenta to come away naturally without any intervention
There are pros and cons to both - so you might want to read up on both before your next.
