    How many people do this??? I never heard of it til my mauri sister in law told me its what they do. What a sweet thing to do for your bubba.

    Its popular with Home births I know that, Im not sure if hospitals allow you to take them home or not.

    What a lovely thing hope u get yummy limes from it!!

    Hospitals cant stop you taking it home (unless something wrong with placenta and they have sent it to pathology for testing) just be careful what you plant it under as some plants can die from the nutrients in the placenta.

    Hospitals check them and then put them in a bag and then in a big bin where they go to be burnt.

    I think most do. Mine was not only a hospital birth, but a caesarean birth too. My OB said nobody had ever asked him before, but also said "well, I don't want it, so I suppose you can keep it" lol.
