Ok, so we went on a tour of the maternity sections of Monash Clayton tonight. Didn't get to see a birth suite or the rooms where you can stay after birth with your partner. The midwife that did the tour couldn't answer my questions clearly.
They are:
Do you stay in the same room that you birth in with your partner/DH if you elect for the 24hour stay option? Or are you moved to another room for the post birth stay?
What happens if all the rooms with double beds are taken? What are the options apart from being in a 4 bed room on the ward and my DP not being able to stay with me and bubs?
How many rooms are there with double beds where partners can stay too?

Have you had an experience ( positive I hope) with the midwifery birth centre at Clayton? Can you answer any of my questions please???
Thanks! I thought the tour would help me to get some answers but it's just created more questions!!
