I too suffered a similar problem at the birth of my older son and from what you have described to this day I have been unable to describe to anyone. I too had a pretty unsimpathetic midwife and had pretty long labour, My son is now 11 and has some learning difficulties and from hearing from you I feel pretty damned lucky right now.

I was just wondering what hospital this occured at?
