I use to use Jalna too for DS. He loved it.
We now have to buy either Wiggles or Dora (as since his gastro he'll only eat something that has those pictures on it but yeh theyre all good.
Off topic but kelxx could you wash out the yoghurt containers and put the jalna yoghurt in it? Or would he know? I am sure you can buy wiggles bowls etc could you put it in that?
I personally don't like all the 'kids' youghurts because of the additives. Some of the 'dairy desserts' have to be full of colours and preservatives. I remember years ago there was bright blue one which smelt awful. So can't be good for them. Ok for a treat on the odd occassion but not something I want my DS eating regularly.
Thanks Luey. It works just the same if i was to buy the wiggles or dora ones as to jalna.. just easier when we're going out etc.. but they are all no added preservatives, flavours or colours. Theyre all natural. Theyre not dairy deserts, theyre the proper full fat yogurt. All the wiggle's foods (biscuits/poppers etc) are all natural with no added anything.. which i think is great when you have fussy kids like mine. You know theyre still getting something good for them, not packed full of sugar.
Thanks for the tips though!
I buy Jalna too - it's one of the few yoghurts that have not got added sugar. I haven't seen a kiddies yoghurt without the nasties.... what's the story with that??? . I mostly use Paris Creek - absolutely delish!
Most importantly read the labels and ensure there are no thickeners, additives and processed sugar (sugarcane)... Sugar (sugar cane - processed sugar will be listed as Only natural ingredients... Just to baffle!
Kelxx - I have not seen a baby yoghurt without sugar - just have a look on the label - maybe you have found one that doesn't but I haven't seen one. I just buy the Paris Creek for the whole family - just the natural one and add stewed apples, mashed banana, etc etc. It saves on packaging too which is better for the Earth!
Actually if you look at both Jalna and the Wiggles/Dora yogurts, Jalna has more Carbohydrate sugars and saturated fats than the wiggles do... (im talking the vanilla or strawberry ones). Unless you buy the whole milk natural or greek yogurts, theres no real difference.. other than taste. I bought the natural whole milk ones to start with for DS and he didnt like them.. i dont blame him.. theyre too bitter.. yuck
