I just read back my post and didn't want to imply that all Obs and health professionals will advise weaning, just wanted the ladies that had questions to know that it might be something that is suggested to them. Different people have different opinions. I was told over and over that I would have to wean before having IVF, but my IVF specialist was happy for me to continue breastfeeding through 2 IVF cycles. He just advised me of the small risks and then was happy to support me

Not having had a cs in the past, I'm not sure if breastfeeding would pose a slightly greater risk, but I'm super pro-breastfeeding (well, actually, I guess I'm more pro-choice than anything else and think that what a woman knows what is best for her and her kids ), so having a chat with a few different health professionals (including a lactation consultant) might be the way to go
