We are on 26 months and still going...We are down to 3 feeds a day - morning, before nap and before bed.
They are generally very short, except in the morning when they are long or clustering feeds. I have put my foot down abit, otherwise she was feeding for 2 mins whenever the whim took her and was just mucking around.
So now if she REALLY wants a feed but it isnt nap time or she has already had one, she has "cuddles with booby" lol She doesn't latch on, just has to have skin to skin cuddles with the breast. That is working really well at the moment, hoping that will progress to booby cuddles where I dont have to get the boob out of the bra!

I really don't want her to feed beyond her 3rd birthday but that i for my own reasons. I love feeding her and it is still our best cuddle/calm time, but I am getting over it. She is fussing around and playing up a bit more now and gets distracted quite easily.
Also I think my supply is dwindling... it doesn't take long these days for her to pull off the breast and say "all gone! other one please" and often she will try and feed from the right side in the morning and pulls off complaining it is "empty mum".

I am really proud I got this far, especially with very little family supprt after about 9 months. My sister still makes comments everytime I feed her lol They just aren't breastfeeding people. I had anticipated and hoped to get to 12 months. I think though Charlotte's refusal to take a bottle EVER and her hatred of formula the very few times she had to have it are what pushed me to keep fedding and go down the infant led path - although it is quite obvious she will need a little nudge to finally give it up lol

I hope to make it to 3 years, although I am just taking it day by day and seeing how long my own patience with BF will hold up.
