Breastfeeding isn't necessarily a cure, don't forget. There are TONNES of benefits for a babies immune system over formula. Babies immune systems are still very underdeveloped when they are born, and through breastfeeding you are passing on antibodies through your milk...so, if your DD has indeed caught your cold, you're actually giving her antibodies to fight that illness through your milk, something that cannot be replicated with formula. There have been countless studies proving a significant difference between breastfed and formula fed babies overall health, BF babies are at a far lesser risk of so many things, including ear infections, respiratory issues, childhood diabetes, SIDS...the list goes on For me though I think the coolest part is the antibodies...your little girl will be a lot more resistant to that strain of cold in the future.
My DD had a cold that just would budge when she was littler, it was awful. Do you use Fess or similar and suction the snot out? Often the mucous will drop from the back of the nose to the throat and lungs, which doesn't help in getting rid of the cold, although DD HATED the suction bulb, she eventually got better I hope your DD does soon too, it makes life very stressful when they're sick
