there are pain medications you can get that are ok when breastfeeding. over the counter meds i know are ok are panadol and voltaren (an anti inflamm). either ask your GP to find you pain meds that are ok whilst breastfeeding or ring one of the maternity hospitals and speak to the drug info person. i think there is a national line now (1300 medicine or similar).
