I think DH is more resigned to the idea of BF. Still not 100% happy with it, but he's not so vocal about opposing it now. Tho he did say the other day he doesn't think DD is as settled as she was when on FF only. I don't think so (granted she did have some very unsettled moments but I think it was just a growth spurt as she has settled again and feeding happily).

Does anyone have any experience of what will happen when the molitium runs out???

I don't have any experience with molitium. Sorry.

But I'm glad your DH is giving you the chance to try. It will be easier for you without the added stress from him.
Dont forget that because BM is so much better for them, it is much easier to digest & so they will feed more often. BF is anywhere from every 2 hours where as ff is around every 4 hours.
So if it's because she is feeding more then that might be why.
They also usually will go through an unsettled period at around 6 weeks. They will usually have a growth spurt & just will be generally unhappy for a few days no matter how they are fed.
    Keep up the good work!!

It's not going as well as I would have liked. I put DD on the boob before every feed and I do think that she is getting something from me as I can here her gulping at the begining and she feeds with contentment for around 7 minutes each side.... ...I really wanted to be able to exclusivley BF her, but I guess it isn't to be . I can't do much more than what I'm doing.
You really need to give yourself a break, it may not be your ideal but it sounds like you are doing really well considering the circumstances & as Janie said some bm is better than no bm & from what I can tell you are doing everything you can.
Don't gauge your supply by how much you express it really isn't an indicator at all, babies are so much more efficent (sp) & the fact that she isn't taking so much formula with tops up is proving you supply has increased.

My DP has on occasion said similar things 'so & so baby sleeps through & they are on formula' but then I remind him exactly what Skye said because bm is easily digestible they process it quicker so they need it more often. My DS still feeds mostly every 2 hrs sometimes 3 hrly & even after midnight he will feed twice before waking up. Not ideal for me as I get unbroken sleep but I know it won't last forever

I wish I had an answer about what happens when your molitium runs out, hopefully someone who has taken it can jump & reassure you. Have you taken the herb Fenugreek? I have heard that helps with supply & the drink Alkavite, these things could help without being on prescriptive medication.

Goodluck & remember you are doing a wonerful job
