Lactation Consultant Locators & Recommendations

Hi all. Can anyone recommend an LC who does home visits in Sydney's eastern suburbs? I've got some names from an online search but would love a recommendation. Thank you!

Any recommendations for a LC in Perth (I'm SOR)? I've found a few, but would prefer to get someone who has been recommended.

where exactly are you? I've heard good things about Cathy Garbin, but I think she's quite far south.
I'm only personally familiar with the ones out East, but any on the LCANZ or LactationWest websites would probably be good to talk to. In the eastern hills areas Sharon Perrella, Jenny Lyn, Shaughn Leach are all great.

Hi , I have recently relocated my mobile Lactation Consulting business to the Sutherland Shire. I would love to help any new mums with breastfeeding concerns in their own homes.I am a certified IBCLC, RN and a Child & Family Nurse.

Sorry you're having so many issues hon, sounds a lot like my (very trying) start with DD2. I used Kate McDougal with both my girls and she was truly amazing, my lifesaver! Not sure if she does private visits these days but will PM her number to you anyway. She works at SJOG Subi as an LC too. I BF both my girls til 11 and 13 months and I've honestly got Kate to thank for that. She saw me at both my SOR & NOR homes

Yes, Joy was great. She listened and I didn't feel rushed at all. I was there 2.5hrs. I'd definitely recommend her to others.

If you have any questions, sing out too hon. I've been through an array of feeding issues with my DD's - poor latch, slow gainer, sleepy/lazy baby, nipple damage, thrush, Vasospasm - and that was just with DD1! She also had silent reflux and a bad neck from her posterior delivery resulting in a vacuum delivery! DD2 had a posterior tongue tie which wasn't picked up til she was almost 2 weeks old (by Kate thankfully!) but unfortunately a lot of damage had already been done. She had it snipped not long after but I had to exclusively pump for 5 weeks to repair my nipples which had been badly damaged yet again resulting in severe Vasospasm (again) and dermatitis on both nipples! Kate put me onto a fab doctor (out in the hills mind you) who got me sorted. DD2 was also treated for reflux (chucky, no silent). I exclusively BF DD2 until 12 months

I hope you can get some help to get you through it too.
