Those who aren't noticing a big difference, increase the brewers yeast and see if that helps.
Yeah, I reckon that's what's helping me - I get a double dose, because I use both dry and active fresh yeast.

Now I just have to et the kid to drink it. Breast refusal.

Ah! Breast refusal is so frustrating

Aktavite helped me with DD1 when I had milk supply issues!! Noticed a huge difference! (in addition to fenugreek)

I got brewers yeast from Big W but its just in little sachets. Those of you who have got it from a healthfood store, can you get it in a bigger pack?

Hi, I live in a rural area and I really want to try these cookies, does anyone know if i can substitute the flaxseed meal for chia? I dont think i will be able to get my hands on the flaxseed within the next week as i would have to get it posted, and I am getting desperate, i just expressed only 20mLs for my 8 weeks old.

Hi missnancy_b, how much you can express is not really a good indicator of how much milk you have. Some mums have heaps of milk that their baby can get out, but not much comes out when they express. in saying that, 20mls is not too bad anyway.

How often does your bub feed? can you spend a day or two together at home with lots of skin to skin contact and just put her to the breast whenever she is awake?

feel free to start a thread asking for more suggestions on improving supply.

if you can get the brewer's yeast, you could try making some bikkies with what you have and then try some later with the flaxseed meal. i live semi-rural and got flaxseed meal from the Safeway. Brewer's yeast i found harder to get and had to go to a healthfood shop near melbourne.

    take care,

I ran a search on brewers yeast and it is the same yeast as you use to make bread?? Or have I come to a bad conclusion? ( Saccharomyces cerevisiae )

I stay home with bub and do try to get him on the boob sucking after each feed just to encourage supply but have been unsuccessful. But anyway unrelated to cookie making. I will check out another thread. Thankyou!

I did make a batch last night using chia. Thought it couldn't hurt to try (although I believe my bottom could do without the excess) =)

Still can't believe that I am eating cookie dough as a sort of medicine. Hahha oh well doctors orders !!!

from what i understand brewer's yeast is different to baker's yeast, and it is the brewer's yeast that you want. it is not expensive, you just have to find it. i could send you some if you can't find it.

the recipe makes so many bikkies!

Ohhh bless you ! I do believe IGA sells brewers yeast. I will go heck it out and make another batch. Im pretty sure I will need to order the flaxseed though sk I will keep eating chia seed ones until it arrives.

Thanks again, I'm very optimistic =)
