Kristy, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the LC when you were last breastfeeding. But most of them are not like that, and will offer you fantastic advice and support. I know the woman I saw was lovely, and really helped to turn things around for us. I think most people would say they had the same experience.
Don't try to do this alone - there is no need, there are people out there who can help you get your breastfeeding experience off to a wonderful start. Certainly contact the ABA, but really have a think about seeing a LC. With the right person, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised
