I think Kmn is on the money. Nipple thrush is very likely completely overdiagnosed. Usually it clears up quickly with treatment. However, we hear from friends that they have these long battles with nipple thrush - it's likely they are treating the wrong problem. Go to your doctor with a view to gettting a 3 in one kind of creme like kennacombe - it has a steroid (great for that itch) an anti-bacterial and an antifungal. You need a prescription, and it's best to wash it off with a warm, wet facewasher before feeds. Not because it's so bad - but it tastes so bad!) I hope you get some relief soon - you are doing a great job.
