I couldnt 'air' mine out either...god not with 4 kids..pmsl but this helped me cause it absorbed the ouze and kept the area dry. A midwife at the hospital loaded me up on them when I was in there.

ETA - I also got told to use long panty liners or pads , fold them in half long ways and use them. Just incase you have any around the house
