It's not uncommon for women to get it a few weeks after a caesaerean section ( they get symtpoms of pain and increased bleeding), and its just treated with antibiotics. As far as I know, it shouldn't cause any further problems, as long as its treated correctly. I'm glad you're going to see a gynae. I think your fertility should be ok as the uterine lining is being shed each period so regenerates each month. Good luck.
