I have pelvic/back issues, so my first birth had to be a c-section. The pelvic issue is still there and so I need another c-section for this pregnancy. I must, however, say that even if my back had improved and my rheumatologist said I could go for a VBAC this time around if I liked, I would STILL choose a c-section for this pregnancy. I found my first c-section to be an empowering experience and I certainly didn't feel like any less of a woman / mother etc. (common issues, apparently) because I had one. I recovered well and baby was great. I bonded perfectly with my wonderful little boy and it really was just a lovely experience all around. I am looking forward to my next one. I wish you well in making your decision
