I dont think i will get a payment? I thought it was done automatically when i paid my fees? I only pay about half of the actual amount each week. Is that right?

Can I ask anyone that knows........should I have done anything in order to 'activate' this rebate through the FAO?

Will I get it automatically (I do recieve a small eligibility for CCB at the moment)? In my FAO payment?
I haven't 'registered' for it either... Does the CCC pass on our info to the FAO, or do we have to organise it? Bummer, I was just on the phone to the FAO yesterday and forgot to ask about it

ETA: Tobyturtle, obviously I'm no expert, LOL! But I think I read somewhere that with some centres you can receive your rebate straight away by paying less, or you can wait to get the rebate quarterly?

I just looked at my last statement from the child care centre and it says on there "your potential Child Care Tax Rebate for this statement period is $xxxx" ? I might be wrong but to me that sounds like i would get some sort of rebate as well?

I asked when I got a payment last month? I phoned and asked "please explain!" and they said it was the 30% rebate, also that the 50% rebate would be coming at the end of October. I said "I already get money taken out of fees for me, so I don't want to be paid twice" and he said "This is a separate payment, don't worry you are not being overpaid" I did nothing to receive it. But I phoned to make sure it was the right amount (as it seemed too high).

tobyturtle - the reduced fees you get is CCB, and any other fee reduction you are entitled to.
the 50% rebate is on top of this and is a quarterly payment of half of your out of pocket expenses. This is only paid quarterly (or annually if you specifically requested it) and not as a fee reduction. You dont have to register for it seperately, everyone who qualifies for CCB (even if you get 0%) gets it automatically.

I am really confused. I have a child in registered care. Does the CCB apply to us?
